2010 “March and Memorial for Life”

Saturday, January 16, 2010

175 people participated in the March for Life at Hackley Park to show their support for the legal

protection of the unborn.  The Memorial for Life at St. Mary's Church included a talk from

a woman who regrets her abortion and stressed that abortion is forever.  We prayed for the

50 million babies that have been lost to abortion and for healing for all who may be suffering

because of abortion.  Thank you to all who participated and for all you do to support life!

2009 “Voice for Life” Award

Kristine Babiarz, Office Manager for Muskegon County Right to Life,

presenting the Voice for Life Award to Sister Agnes Mary Wojtkowiak

Muskegon County Right to Life presented the 2009 “Voice for Life” Award to the Sister Agnes Mary Wojtkowiak at the “Focus on Life” 2009 Annual Benefit Dinner on October 8, 2009.

Sister Agnes Mary has served 25 years at St. Michaels Catholic Church and this year celebrates her 50th anniversary of being a nun.  She devotes her time, not only to the people of her parish, but also to all those around her. She plays many roles at the parish, such as teacher, counselor, coordinator and friend.  In addition, she has dedicated her time and talent to defending the sanctity of life.  You've seen her at prolife events in her prolife t-shirt, or placing “Vote NO on 2” yard signs during the November, 2008, ballot proposal for embryonic stem cell research.  She continuously speaks out for the unborn by challenging people to become involved and to make sacrifices – financially and spiritually.   She is a voice for the unborn!

It’s an honor for Muskegon County Right to Life to present Sister Agnes Mary the 2009 Voice for Life Award.

This money is used to support our Muskegon office.  Here's what we do:

  • Provide pro-life educational material, bumper stickers, window clings, books and films
  • Provide qualified pro-life speakers to schools, churches, organizations and civic groups
  • Publish a quarterly newsletter
  • Encourage the support of pregnancy service groups
  • Maintain a web site to share the pro-life message in a timely manner  (http://www.muskegonrtl.org)
  • Conduct membership drives and various fundraising events to support the efforts of our local and state Right to Life offices

Would you be willing to particiapte?

Here's all you'd need to do:

  • Obtain approval from your Minister to schedule a collection at your church.
  • It is extremely helpful if the Minister will announce the collection, and encourage support for the prolife cause.  (Many churches coordinate it with the “Respect Life” theme in October.)
  • Some churches take up a collection during the service, while at others donations are collected at the doors as people leave.   Envelopes are also available that can be mailed in with donations.
  • We'll provide you "life saver" candy and donation envelopes.

If you're interested, please call our office at (231) 733-6300 and we'll make arrangements to get our "life saver" candy and donation envelopes to you.  Thank you for your generous support!
